Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. As a child, she was exposed to lots of classical music and old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups as well as choruses. In 2000, she relocated to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her passion for the performing arts, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and educator. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
